Guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings
The Adventures of Milo Chow, by Caroline Rayfield, is an informative and entertaining book. Through detailed descriptions and emotions that will pull at your heartstrings, Rayfield shows the reader the ups and downs of what is involved in adopting a rescue. Milo quickly wins over the hearts of the reader through his many adventures and challenges. The Adventures of Milo Chow is a great book to read to a class at the beginning of a school year. Just like students who are starting out in a new class feeling nervous and unsure, the author shows how Milo also needs to learn to trust and build connections with others. This book is best suited for older readers due to its length and complexity. The Adventures of Milo Chow is a wonderful read for anyone who is interested in embarking upon the rewarding journey of adopting a rescue.
Oh the Love!
I think my favourite part about reading this book is the way you can genuinely feel the love Milo and his mom have for one another. As a fellow animal lover, who has had the pleasure of a similar connection and experience with unconditional love, it truly puts me in the feels. It is filled with beautiful stories from Milos perspective (which I’d like to add is a nice touch I didnt expect) These stories, though Milos..include a set of different lives, that somehow make a beautiful mosiac of a family. A book about second chances, new learning experiences, family, acceptance, understanding and growth. I recommend it for any person who enjoys heart warming stories..anyone who is ready to smile a lot, with the possibility of shedding a tear or two. I also enjoyed the authors choice of words, which you will come to understand as you read the book and get acquainted with Milo and his perspectives. Just such a lovely book, that at its core is about the connections this young dog makes in his life and the love he has to share, and in turn receives. Finally, this book being aimed at a younger audience makes the stories easily digestible, which I find makes this book ever more impactful due to the fact the whole family can engross themselves in Milos world, albeit for a short but beautiful journey. Buy the book and spend a little time with with this pup. You won’t regret getting to know Milo Chow, Superstar
The importance of caring
The story reflects the compassion the author, Caroline Rayfield, has for animals who need extra care. It also shows children the importance of being kind to other children particularly if they have a disability.
